Mina Navigators is a rolling, monthly grants program where developers can earn MINA tokens for learning zk, building zero-knowledge applications, and contributing to projects or libraries across the Mina ecosystem.

🏗️ Program Structure:

• Navigator Badges + Learning:
  • If you win a Navigator badge, you will be eligible to earn monthly grants for continuing to build out your application, tooling, or open-source contribution, in addition to completing monthly challenges.
  • From December through April, there will be a community-led learning program to support Navigators building zkApps with o1js on Mina Protocol.
  • Navigator contributions will be publicly visible on a leaderboard (updated monthly).
  • ❓How to participate in the Navigators Program?
    • ⚠️Applications for new Navigators Badges are NOT being accepted at this time!
      • But, there will be new entry points in the following months. You can gain the right to obtain your Navigators Badge through hackathons within the scope of the Mina Navigators program, which we call "Community Hackathons", organized by communities in the Mina ecosystem. Stay tuned!
• Grand Prizes:
  • After six months, Navigators present their contributions to a team of judges (community members) for a chance to win grand prizes in MINA token grants. The judges vote on which contributions delivered the most value to the Mina ecosystem, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall prizes are granted.

💸 Grant Details

During the last week of every month, Mina Navigators will submit a form that shows the work completed and proposes milestones for the following month. A team of technical judges (The Technical Review Committee) from the community will review the forms submitted, and check against the below grant ‘tiers’:

If your project is research-heavy, you must communicate this upfront (which team members will be responsible for research). Their deliverables at the end of the month would need to be a document showing research, conclusions, and next steps. The approximate amount of time commitment should be 40 hours/month per research member. Such members will not have 10+ commit rules enforced on them.
