Navigators Exploration Team (NExT)

Growth track applications are reviewed by the Navigators Exploration Team (NExT). The team comprises of expert members from the community, including Mina Foundation and o1Labs. The team will evaluate and engage with the proposals by providing feedback, assessment, and insights. The exploration team also helps direct ecosystem growth by identifying gaps and focusing on those areas.

Proposals

The growth track is open for applications to build everything from zkApps to infrastructure and tooling. While we place no limits on your imagination, the program will at times prioritize certain areas where NExT would like to direct ecosystem growth. An example of this could be β€œIn June and July, we will give priority to proposals that are building or integrating zkOracles.”

All proposals must include details about the deliverables and a mid-point milestone for evaluation. Please take a look at the proposal template for guidance.

The Navigators program is well-suited for projects that are advancing toward production. Additionally, we are open to considering research-intensive proposals, provided they meet the funding criteria. If you wish to discuss this, please get in touch with us at the following link.

Should there be issues related to the delivery of the milestones or project, we are dedicated to working closely with teams to overcome any challenges they encounter. However, in exceptionally rare situations, we may ask a project to temporarily halt its development at the midpoint milestone evaluation. In extreme cases, we may even consider requesting the repayment of grant amounts if there is clear evidence of bad faith by the team/project.

We will make our best effort to let teams know if their application has been unsuccessful and provide feedback on the reasons why along with suggestions on how to improve the application. This depends on the volume of the applications received and processed.

Funding

Teams can request funds up to 100,000 MINA with the project duration between 1 to 3 months. Higher funding for a shorter duration will draw higher scrutiny of the application and might take longer to approve.
